Westminster Pharmaceuticals Donates Over 2,000 Hand Sanitizer Bottles to Local Government Offices for COVID-19 Relief
Tampa, FL — July, 2020 — Westminster Pharmaceuticals joined the fight against the COVID-19 virus by donating over 2,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to local offices in the criminal justice system including the State Attorney’s office, the Office of the Public Defender, and the Administrative Office of the Courts for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, FL. As local government agencies remain dedicated to staying open and serving their communities, the donation of this critical asset will support a safe and healthy work environment for staff.
The hand sanitizer bottles were produced by Westminster’s national manufacturing partners and branded under the Westminster Pharmaceuticals label. Led by CEO Louis Sanchez and General Counsel Ricky Martinez, the Westminster Pharmaceuticals team donated and delivered the bottles to Florida State Attorney Andrew H. Warren’s office in Tampa, Florida on July 9.
After the donation, Westminster Pharmaceuticals was honored to receive a letter of thanks from State Attorney Warren. “With your generous donation of 600 bottles of hand sanitizer, employees can continue to do their jobs safely while protecting the community… We are thankful to incredible companies like Westminster Pharmaceuticals, who step up in times of crises to help those in need and allow our office to remain open to keep our community safe,” Warren wrote.
Soon after the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Westminster Pharmaceuticals pivoted operations toward creating and selling FDA-approved hand sanitizer products. In early April, Westminster announced it would begin selling three sizes of 75% isopropyl alcohol hand sanitizer bottles in addition to its diverse offering of generic pharmaceuticals. These products were distributed to trusted pharmacies, hospitals, and wholesalers around the country and are still available while supplies last.
